Walk through urban tranquility in Allegheny Commons Park to reach neighborhood business districts in Deutschtown, Allegheny West, and Mexican War Streets (Federal St./Jacksonia area). Ride the new bike lanes through the park, around Nova Place, and head for the hills to catch some of the annuall Dirty Dozen race that passes through Troy Hill and Fineview.
Free parking on Saturday thanks to Pittsburgh Parking Authority and always free parking to visit Bicycle Heaven and Johnny Angel's Ginchy Stuff in the Chateau Industrial complex.
It's a quick shot from Chateau to ride up California Avenue and visit the Brighton Height's businesses and connect to Brighton Rd. business districts. Take the scenic route to Perrysville Ave. from Woods Run Ave. or through Riverview Park to visit Observatory Hill and Perry Hilltop.
