Event Details

Join us for an evening of rhythm & sound to reconnect your mind, body and soul....

This all levels, 1 hour & 30 min Movement Medicine workshop will feature breathwork, ecstatic dance and a closing sound bath meditation for a full body healing experience through sound.

Music featuring: Tribal House, World Beats and Latin Rhythms, Crystal Singing Bowls and Hand Pan Drum.

What to expect...
Conscious connection, empowerment and fun!
Exploring our realities through our own bodies, we will begin our journey achieving a state of bliss through our conscious breath, then guided into the 5 Rhythms to connect our breath (our life force) to our bodies. From these rhythms we will embody our own flow through a period of ecstatic dance and finish in a state of stillness, allowing our nervous systems to recalibrate with the harmonic resonances of crystal singing bowls.

By using our bodies, we bridge the somatic gap between our conscious and subconscious realities. Combining these principals with the science of our neurology, we will learn simple yet powerful practices to use daily, focusing on achieving inner balance, harmony and peace.

No dance experience or coordination necessary! This workshop is all about finding the rhythms within you.... and if you think you have no rhythm, then by golly, this is exactly where you need to be!

NOTE: this class is recommended for participants 18 yrs and older.
16+ may be admitted with the accompaniment of an adult.

What is ecstatic dance?
Ecstatic dance is the practice and philosophy founded by world renowned dancer Gabrielle Roth, in which intuitive movement is used to reconnect with the organic rhythms of the body, the psyche and our divine nature. Using the 5Rhythms of Flow, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness, we balance the yin/yang (feminine/masculine) aspects of our inner being, allowing us to fully embody all that makes us whole. Completely surrendering to the movement, we are able to release & re-enliven energies within the body, achieving states of ecstasy and bliss.

Collective Wellbeing:
We offer a safe and inclusive space for all participants. Throughout the workshop we practice compassion and consent, as our bodies are our temple and the dance is our prayer. It is common for emotions to surface during an ecstatic dance or sound bath. If at any point you are feeling overwhelmed, there will be a designated “chill-space” where you can take a break to meditate or just observe until you are ready to reintegrate back into the group.
