What:
Drag Queen Stars host the most fun and entertaining bingo game you've ever experienced! Join the party and play your cards right... Then stay for the after-game dance party with DJ DEESUS.
VIP Party: 6-6:30pm
Bingo & General Admission: 6:30-7:30pm
DJ Dance Party: 7:30-9pm

VIP Experience: $45 (6pm-9pm)
Step up to the Step N Repeat to get your photo taken with our host for the evening, Alora! Sip on a specialty vodka cocktail from Deep Eddy Vodka and munch on some light bites from Addison Avenue Catering. Sit back and enjoy a specialty dance performance from SSD summer company dancers and a performance by Alora herself! Then, settle in for the bingo game of your life and round out the night with a DJ dance party.
General Admission: $25 (7:30pm-10pm)

**In the case of RAIN, this event will be cancelled 2 hours prior to start time. All ticket holders have the choice to donate their ticket sale to the organization or transfer to a performance ticket to an upcoming show in Summer/Fall 2022. No refunds for ticket purhcases, all sales final.*
About the Organization:
Shana Simmons Dance(SSD) seeks advancement of quality dance performance and increased engagement with audiences and the community through financially accessible interactive and immersive productions.
Our work relies heavily on partnerships and outreach to explore topics relevant to our community at large with a heavy focus on the integration of movement in education. The vision and passion of the company is to encourage movement in all bodies.
SSD has been creating thoughtful performance work in Pittsburgh since 2012, collaborating with outside artists and nonprofit organizations for each project, and highlighting socially relevant topics to audiences through immersive experiences. SSD recently completed its most recent endeavor the Virtual Dance Exchange Project (VDEP).
This project was supported by the Arts Equity Reimagined fund and incorporated four lead collaborators, Shana Simmons (SSD), Chrisala Brown(African Dance, Pgh), Bianca Johnson & Dancers(Intergenerational dance, NYC), and Karen Alexander (XRconnectED, Pgh). VDEP was able to reach hundreds of people amidst a pandemic, immersing the viewer in full scale dance performances through the use of your smartphone or VR headset. SSD also produced a three-part dialogue series focusing on new technologies, dance, education and equity in the arts which was offered free to the public.
SSD is consistently pushing the boundaries of new ways of experiencing and seeing dance within the Pittsburgh community. Constructed Sight was a new production in response to Covid-19 which started in 2020, a dance film series curated into an evening length online show with guest “hosts” creating a story through-line for each performance.
This project is expanding to include a dance film festival, the first in Pittsburgh, and has received over 100 international applications.
Living Landscapes is the second production in 2022, projecting environmental dance films into an art gallery utilizing other senses such as touch and smell. SSD has interviewed representatives from Friends of the Riverfront, Grounded, and Allegheny Cleanways and will incorporate their dialogue into this experiential documentary dance installation.
